Giving to the Institute: Your Support Makes a Difference

Investigators in the Stanford Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine are working at the frontier of stem cell research to make discoveries that can be translated into new treatments and cures for over 100 million children and adults annually who are stricken with debilitating chronic diseases.

Private support remains a critical catalyst for the Institute's work. Commitment and support from donors influence how quickly we translate new knowledge into effective treatment and disease prevention. Although Institute researchers receive government and agency grants for many of their studies, this funding alone cannot cover the full scope of the Institute's work.  Plus, some of the most pioneering stem cell research receives little or no Federal funding.

Through financial contributions, supporters of the Institute play a significant role in advancing vital research programs, enabling Stanford to employ the world's top stem cell scientists, pursue and support groundbreaking research, and provide the technologies and facilities needed to translate discoveries into new therapies.
